Pay and GO GO GO and the basics bolt on

I am a complete novice here - can anyone tell me what I will be able to do if I add on the basics bolt on.  I've never used a phone on the web before but thought I'd give it a try.  I will only use it infrequently probably just out of curiousity.  Is the phone connected to the web at all times or only when I decide to do so.................I told you I was a novice.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as my head will explode soon.

Your phone will have the ability to connect to internet and data services now. The advantage of the bolt on is providing you with cheaper data. Without a bolt on you will get charged £1.00 a day to access data but the bolt on significantly reduces this. You may have to change some settings on your phone so if you advise the model we can go from there. The connection is "always on" like home broadband and data is used when you use an app that requires it.

OK, good news is that phone runs on Android, so it should automatically connect for you. When you have your bolt on activated, remove and reinsert the SIM then boot the phone up. If you have any problems give us a shout.
