I have the O2 travel inclusive zone bolt on but am not able to phone UK from Australia. Don’t understand what is going on. Have always been able to call previously.

@Papi

Use the search function for Australia and you'll find loads of posts with suggestions to fix.

Make sure you have 4g calling enabled and turn off wifi seems to work best but do search the posts for speed.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I have a similar sort of issue phoning an Australian number while in Australia but I have a zone 1 including Australia included in my package. Still cannot make calls. Yet my husband on iphone can make calls on exactly the same O2 package. Im on samsung s25 ultra. I'm wondering if because i had flight mode on during the flight when i turned it back off maybe something else is still off or maybe i need to turn off wifi calling so I just have 4g or 5g calling. Also noticed i cannot get 3g while the iphone allows 3g and he can make calls?!?!? O2 are useless getting a response for this. There is no livechat personal support to help. May try going into a UK O2 store to sort this b4 next trip!

Sounds like you and your partner may be on different networks. Try searching and selecting another.

If you have not got 4G Calling (VoLTE) switched on then you won't be able to make calls.

90% of roaming problems are down to either phone settings or the roaming network

Mobile service providers are best placed to advise if your device may be affected. There are several ways you can check your device:

Telstra

Visit: www.telstra.com.au/support/mobiles-devices/3g-closure

Call: 13 22 00

SMS '3' to 3498 for an automatic response on your device's 4G network compatibility.

Optus

Visit: www.optus.com.au/3g

Call: 13 39 37

SMS '3' to 3498 for an automatic response on your device's 4G network compatibility.

Vodafone/TPG Telecom

Visit: 3G Network Closure FAQ | TPG Support

SMS '3' to 3498 for an automatic response on your device's 4G network compatibility.

Industry IMEI lookup tool

Visit: www.3gclosure.com.au and follow the link to 'Check my mobile phone' to access the IMEI lookup tool

Customers of other mobile service providers should contact their relevant service provider directly.

You can also visit www.3gclosure.com.au for general information on the types of devices that may be impacted. AMTA, the organisation that hosts that website, is the peak industry body representing Australia's mobile telecommunications industry.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
