How long does it take to send

a PAC number? Yesterday at 13.00 I was told it would be sent by text shortly.

Any customer service advisor can press the right buttons to get it.

Getting the PAC is the easy bit, but they don't port numbers on the weekend. I always find it strange in the age we live in that weekends still exist. Computers don't need the weekend off.

That’s because number porting has to be entered on the system by a human and it’s those that don’t work at the weekends.

I understand that, but wouldn't it be a much easier way to expedite PAC requests to have one or two humans there at the weekends? CS is there. From the way you describe it, it seems a simple enough process to do.

Hi, I phoned them back and the advisor stayed on the phone while he texted my PAC code to make sure I got it. Can't ask for more than that
