I've tried seven times to move my old number onto my new phone, gave the PAC number and I get an email saying I've failed a security check.  Can I actually phone a real person for help?

@rik_in_wales

You can reset your security word in your MyO2 under "My Details".

It's the answer to your mother's maiden name, first pet, first school etc and not your MyO2 password.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

You'll need to call O2.

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

@rik_in_wales Are you already an O2 customer? If the answer is yes, you don't need a PAC. You can either use your old sim or do a swap onto a new sim if you want 5G.

I am an O2 customer and this week got a second phone for the wife, I'm trying to move the old number from her giffgaff sim to her new O2 sim

To be honest I'm pulling my hair out.
