O2 Travel Charges even for days when I did not use the service

I am being charged 4.99 every day for O2 Travel, even when I do not send messages or make calls from my phone. My data is also disabled. What is going on?

I guess as we asked earlier and nothing has been forthcoming, we're unlikely to get anything?

I'm equally intrigued, haha. Off to the Canaries in July, and wouldn't mind a cheaper option. wink

 

Only different "types/versions" of Travel I'm aware of are the geographical areas (Europe at £1.99 a day. Turkey at £3.99 a day and Rest of World at £4.99 a day).

 

There are promotional deals from time to time, where the Travel bolt-on is included as a free incentive at the point of sale/upgrade, but that's about the only thing I can think of. And that is usually for a limited period.

 

Can definitely, 100% confirm that Travel is included as standard on new Refresh and SIMO deals taken directly with O2 now, although I believe previously it was an opt-in rather than an opt-out.

The only promotional deal I know of was when the 'much vaunted iphone 7' got a free deal with O2 travel....

Discrimination at it's very worst....but dont get me started on that...
