Number Swap between contracts

Hi all!

I had a Samsung S7 Edge on 02 Refresh, the phone plan is fully paid on it now, so it's just the tariff being paid now.

I then seen a good deal on a Samsung S8 with Carphone Warehouse but staying on the 02 network, so i took it, the phones arrived and i've been using my old sim with it.

The question i was wanting to ask is, i want to use my new tariff, but i'd like to keep the old number if possible, i was reading online that with other providers it's not possible, is that he same with 02? I just assumed that even though the phone wasn't provided by 02, as the network is the same on both sim's, i'd be able to just swap my old number onto it? Any advice would be great.

You can transfer your old number to the new contract but that will cancel the old contract, so you can't keep both running.
A call to customer services for a number migration is what you need to do if that's what you want.
