Number Not Working After Port

Does porting your number with O2 have to be this painful!?

 

My story so far...

  • Provided PAC code when order was placed for new SIM - didn't work
  • Completed the online form for number porting - didn't work
  • Called customer service who apologised and confirmed port would happen next day - didn't work
  • Visited O2 store, told they only deal with new connections so can't access my account - they don't work
  • Live chatted with complaints team, who had 100% fixed the problem and would offer £5 credit off my bill as a gesture - port still didn't work and no sign of the credit after 3 days.

 

So far, my old EE SIM is deactivated along with my account.  My O2 account shows the correct ported number but if I call it I just get a 'this number is not in service' message.

 

How long does the process actually take? this is beyond frustrating.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

The exact same has happened to me as well. I have lost connectivity to my old number and the new number. Can someone help please. The customer services team aren't very helpful

hi. Sorry this is of no help to you but I feel your pain. this happened to me and it’s now 3 weeks later and my port has still not worked. I’ve spent hours on the phone trying to sort. I don’t want to lose the number that I’ve had 20+ years. The whole thing is causing many problems with banking and logging into everything !!

it is now with the highest dept , CCMT and they say max  5 days to sort. 

hope you have better luck

Hi Lisa,

similar thing happened to me, my old number stopped working yesterday while porting but iy hasn’t been transferred to my O2 sim. 

can you please help me with it?

spoke with multiple agents but no luck.

Hi Lisa

 

The same issue is happening to me. The port should have happened last Tue but didn't. Having spoken daily to agents and each time told it will happen that day/ someone will get back to me. On Fri my old sim from three network stopped working. I am unable to log onto online banking etc. I spoke with an agent last night after the latest it will be done by 6pm yesterday and was told there was a delay and it would be done by midnight. It still hasn't been completed this morning. Can you assist with this please? Thanks

Same issue for me, my three SIM has been disconnected by my number not transferred over. Every time I speak to someone they say wait till 6pm but it never happens. Any advice anyone? 😅
