Hello I'm on a pay monthly deal but am out of contract and haven't used my phone for a while. I'm still being charged £26 a month. What is the best way to stop paying so much but still keep my number!? Thanks for any help

If you want to keep your number you will need to get a PAC code to transfer number to a cheaper network
Their are a few out there
This is one
Or 1p mobile (cost £30 per year)
Search around

Good advice regarding keeping your number and lightening the costs, below with @Enlli
Obviously you will need to go PAYGO search around there are good deals when found suitable one get 02 PAC etc and move as here:

Good luck

If you hardly use your mobile phone @Frank5
Three's PAYGO SIM is very good no minimum top up required but you need to use it at least once every six months to keep it active.
You can keep your mobile number too the number you have can be transferred as described.
Best wishes

Just to be clear @Frank5
The minimum top up is £10 and even if you don't use the phone, you will need to top up every 6 months. So an O2 PAYG sim will cost you a minimum of £20 per year to not use it.
