I receive no signal where I live. Customer services think there is nothing wrong with the network and say it is my phone/sim. If it isn't fixed I will quit.

Hi,
What is your service status reporting ?
Remove and clean the sim.
If there is a reset of your network settings in the phone carry that out too.
Try your sim in another phone and if you get stable signal then it means the phone is at fault somehow.
You can if needed pick up a new sim card from any o2 high street shop and ask them to transfer your tariff and number to it instore.
It takes from a few minutes to 24 hours to settle and your service return. Keep turning the phpne off and on to help reset the service.

Forgive me for asking but if "The network has never worked where I live " why choose O2 ?
Have you thought about using Tugo for pay monthly customers or whatsapp or viber while your at home ?
They can work off your home broadband wifi.

I can't use Tugo as I am Pay & Go. WhatsApp or Viber just isn't practical.

Being on payg you can choose whatever network gives you the best signal where you live, commute and work.
I suggest getting other networks payg sims to try them out for a week or so and then ask for your pac code from o2 and migrate, if your signal/service does not improve !
The o2 network is undergoing improvement with 4g rollout which will improve 3g and 2g signals.
Perhaps if you switch off 3g it may improve what your getting now !

You can unlock your payg phone {t&c dependant} for £15 if its not already unlocked.
