Hello,
I recently ported my number from Virgin to O2. I noticed that the Virgin sim got deactivated this morning (2 Aug) so I switched over to my O2 sim. It worked till around 4pm today and then it stopped working. I tried restarting my mobile a few times and that didn't help.
Now I don't have service for the last ~5 hours. Is this normal?
When I called O2 customer service and gave the number I requested O2 to port, the lady informed me that it's an inactive number and I closed that number 5 years ago -which is true when I left O2 5 years ago. I am now bringing this number back to O2. I am worried that this old account might be causing some issues. Can someone recommend what to do next?
O2 customer service couldn't figure out why it was taking so long and asked me to call back tomorrow (9 Aug).

Hi @vk18
Welcome to the o2 Community forum
You do need to contact o2 customer services regarding this issue, I haven't heard of bringing an old unused number back to o2 these are not held usually.
Some contact numbers etc may help
If you need to contact O2
Give O2 a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202.
Or you can message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG),

I’ve had the same issue for the last week. Ported number on Wednesday and still have no service. They said on Friday that it was being looked into still no response since
