Nhs discount

I work for the nhs and am looking to renew my O2 contract. I understand I need a code from work to access the nhs discount but no one in my hr team has heard of the code?! Please help, why do you need a code if I can prove I'm an nhs employee???

Hi @Anonymous O2 Open has changed the system over the past two weeks or so. Other are having this same problem and employers are being issued with a 5 digit code. Sadly not all have got it yet so you just need patience Another thread here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-Services/O2-Open-Employer-Code/m-p/1036442#M24308

Edited to add...the system has been changed to prevent it being abused. ....problem is.. only half of it has changed...though one member here stated his employer got the code two days ago.

You need to get your HR depth to chase o2 for the 5 digit code now as no one seems to have been given them yet.

Not a great idea for O2 to begin a rule change before everyone's on the same page. I understand the need to prevent fraud or misuse, but at least get the system fully in place before it's implemented.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

IT needed to change, I could have got a discount saying I worked for anybody even though retired, especially with the text method. Personally I'm happy that they have changed it but the way it's been done is very amateurish.

It certainly needed to change...but they just don't implement change properly. with full communications... As we saw with O2 Travel...it's the customers that suffer...not O2

Of course, update the website, inform customers, get codes to all employers in the scheme. Why is nothing so simple with O2.....rhetorical question so no answer needed....
