Hi,
I have ordered a new phone and O2 contract via Mobile Phones Direct, and have been informed that my credit check has been referred and that I have to contact O2 on a premium number (0844 847 1425) and have my driving license and debit card to hand.
Does anyone know if there is a way of contacting O2 on a free number instead or somehow request a call back? I have Giff Gaff currently and would have to top up £10 just to make this call, and will basically just have to lose the unused credit afterwards and so would prefer to avoid this.
Thanks in advance
Mark

And a whole range of other numbers here, if you search for "O2 " (no quotes):
