@leonorman0  Don't expect great coverage or good data speeds if you're roaming. Use free WiFi where you can, but do it over a VPN.

Yeah I've seen many an issue with coverage in the US and unfortunately if you come back to the UK there isn't a great deal your carrier here can do about it as they don't own the US network they just rent access.

Local data access isn't poor in the USA but O2 heavily throttle their customers when roaming.
A local SIM card or WiFi is the only way to get good data speeds but if you only want calls and texts, O2 is fine.
