New Phone, New sim

Hi, Wondering if anyone can advise with the following.

 

I was with Virgin Mobile which switched to a new O2 sim plan in July this year.

I’ve just bought a new phone through Buymobiles. net with a new O2 sim and a new contract.

I’m looking to move my number to the new sim and new phone.

I called O2 this morning and they said i’d have to go into an O2 shop.

Just been to the O2 shop and they’ve said i need to call O2?

Can i ask- once you got the pac from asda on your payg how long did you leave it to then request a new pac to swap back to o2?

Dates of the posts suggest 10 days from getting the number on the asda sim to porting back into O2.

Hi @Jillaboo , I had to call Asda Mobile to get my PAC as it wasn’t coming through when i sent the text.

Once i got the PAC i called 02 that day. I did have to chase it up though as it was supposed to swap over by 6pm the following day but it didn’t. I called again and it got escalated up and was working the next day.

Everything was finally switched over on Tuesday 5th December.
