New O2 contract for existing customer

Anonymous
Not applicable

I've looked on the help of moving my number. I know I can move from another network, and from PAYG to PM and vice versa. I'm looking to transfer from PM to PM, with both contracts being with O2.

I'm looking to upgrade my phone, I found the phone I want, and the best deal I can find is remaining with O2, however this is not via O2, but an independent.

I know I can transfer my phone number over from a different network, I've done this before, but will O2 move my number from 1 contract to a new, seperate contract? I'm sure it's possible, I just don't want to get caught out with me possibly being caused issues because I'm moving from 1 O2 Pay Monthly contract to a seperate, new O2 Pay Monthly contract.

Has anyone had to go through a similar scenario before?

Hope that (sort of!) makes sense.

Yes, just call cs on 202 and they will swap it over which will cancel your old account at the same time http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

It's simply an upgrade where you automatically keep your number.

That is the easiest way but the likes of CPW offer better deals on new contracts rather than upgrades so the op may be taking advantage of that scenario.
