I have a new, unlocked iPhone. I have inserted the sim and applied any updates, but it is not connecting to your network. I cannot make or receive calls or texts. I have removed the sim and reinserted it.

No, it doesn’t. Very odd, as it works immediately when the sim is in another phone.

Must be faulty phone then. I’d get back onto the insurance company for a replacement.

Yes it does sound as if the phone is faulty....How annoying. You will need a replacement for the replacement!
