Hi everyone,

I was hoping to speak to an advisor, but there is no answer.

Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to move my current contract number to a PAYG sim and get a new number for my contract?

I have started having to use my personal phone for business related calls and I want to separate these from my personal calls. Because my business clients all have my personal number now, I want to get a new personal number for my contract phone, but set up a PAYG device with my existing number so I can still receive calls from work. How do I go about this with limited customer support?

Many thanks in advance

Just pay off your device.

The airtime is wiped off for free when you port your number to PAYG.

The only way is to take a new contract and pay off your old one (if there is anything outstanding).

Moving the number to PAYG will cancel the contract. You're then free to take a new contract with a new number.

Edit to add that this can be done in store or by calling O2.

Thanks MI5. Just so as I understand (because in this I’m a little unsure), does that mean I have to pay off my device plan AND airtime plan?
