Hi, We moved house this weekend and unfortunately we have been able to connect normal broadband. I have purchased a MIFI device and the maximum pay monthly tarrif of 50GB of data from O2. This seems to work very well, but I am concerned about the amount of data I am using (3 children, my wife and myself having to WFH). IF I upgrade the SIm to a unlimited data phone plan will the MIFI works as well? Is there any difference in the data provision between a MIFI plan and a phone plan?

Many Thanks

Jason

Phone Sims will be blocked by O2 if used in mifi devices.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thanks I suspected that may be the case but good to get confirmation.

Do you know if data sharing with a phone is possible?

Many Thanks

You can tether from a phone (or hot spot as it is known) so that other devices use that phone's data.
All unlimited plans are subject to o2's fair use policy though.
