Solved: Is my contract cancelled automatically?

So I got a new contract with EE, and a new phone. Then I asked for the PAC code to use my old O2 number on my new EE contract. I just want to confirm does that mean my old O2 is cancelled, or do I have to phone up to do this?

Your O2 contract is cancelled when your number ports out.
