Three already has VoLTE so maybe they were hoping for that knowledge and investment - who knows?
Certainly not anyone on here......

but how to explain Apple putting VoLTE under O2 previously?

It's on any iPhone now but it doesn't mean it works on all networks.
I've got a 5s with my French Sfr sim in it and I can enable calls and data on 4g (same as O2) but it drops to 3g immediately on a call (same as O2).

@evantkh A straight error but nothing will change until o2 officially announce it. @Toby I feel this thread is going around in circles can anybody official from o2 advise @evantkh of any plans

It's not an error - it's a feature of iOS10 for any networks that support it.

Correct, if I put my Three sim in my 5s it works.

@MI5 Apple posted an incorrect web page update saying o2 supported volte on its uk network and this is where this error occurred and @evantkh started this thread it was rectified by o2 and apple and the offending webpage no longer states o2 volte
