I received notice today that my sim only contract is increasing by 12% from October 1st. Pretty sure an increase of this amount wasn't mentioned in the T&Cs. I will be contacting O2 to follow this up. Greedy...

If this is relating to your O2 mobile account, it's a scam. It may be your VM broadband though if your current contract is expiring soon.

Just as a heads up, this is genuine.

 

As part of a recent tariff review, we’re making a small adjustment to prices for customers on a specific set of 30-day rolling SIM Only plans. This change helps ensure greater consistency across our customer base and keeps our pricing in line with the wider market.

They can make changes as long as they give you 30days notice...

It might be legitimate, but is it ethical is the question...

Also seems o2 found they where too cheap and decided to not take the hit... 

And we all know the answer to that...

In the notification you got, it may have given you the option to leave for nothing, so might be best to take them up on that, and move the number to a different provider, tbh that is what I would be looking at doing...

By, "in line with the wider market", do you mean you actually priced at a point to make a decent margin but realised you could charge more and still appear competitive?

Madasaf1sh, thanks for your replies. I'm not looking for potential solutions, I'm just not keeping quiet about a 12% increase! I'm aware of the T&Cs as well as my options and will be taking the necessary steps soon as! 👍🏻😁
