Impossible to contact "Credit Referral" Department

I tried to buy a Pay Monthly sim only a month ago only to be told I needed to email Credit File Referrals.

 

I've had O2 and Virgin Media accounts in the past - always paid and never an issue. My credit file is spotless, and I've never been declined credit in 20years. I could easily and have offered to pay the full contract in advance

 

Infuriatingly, despite saying they respond in 3 working days I have heard nothing for a month. Despite follow up emails and supplying everything the auto response requests, there is just total silence from O2.

 

It is impossible to contact this department - online chat just want to try and put another sale through for me, which is the worst thing I could do. Similar response if I call up and the O2 shops are completely useless.

 

Anyone else had this issue and found a way to illicit a response?
