have we got any release date as yet on this cheeky little update? it surley must be within the next few weeks, the chinese whispers of the world was saying 21st July. however no update released still just 7.1.2

It's going to be approx after September 14 when they release info about the new iPhones.

It's still in Beta stage with I think at beta 4 stage release to the registered developers.

i saw that you could buy the Beta stage for £59 $99 USD be interesting to see how the phone changes with IOS8.. i idnt like IOS7 when it was forst released but i think it may be nifty

You can register as a developer for that cost yes.

However the Beta stage versions are buggy and unpolished.

It's advised to download these not on your primary iPhone.

Have you viewed Apples Keynote about iOS 8 and Yosemite for OS X ?

It won't be until at least September and I wouldn't think it will be before the new iphone is announced either

when IOS7 was first launched my first thought was my IPhone is now a fisher price toy phone with the wounderful and bold child like colours but now i have got used to it so lets see what IOS8 has to offer

iOS 7 was a little like marmite. You either loved or loathed it.

For me it brought a lot to the table and some additions which i've been using before Apple had officially introduced them.

What does look like that's happening is that the bridge between iOS and android is being closed ,which many think is a clever ploy to help people migrate from android to iOS with less pain.

Exciting times ahead.
