Topic.
Tried to get the Internet set up on my old Galaxy S2 by O2 staff yesterday in the shop at Meadowhall, they said there has been network problems with 3G so my Internet may not work.
Eh? Has 3G now been turned off in favour of 4G?

Not turned off, just network issues at the minute.
Just keep restarting your phone to get it back as soon as its fixed.

Just check o2's website about the future of the network. It is 98% indoor coverage on 2g 3g and 4g all the old 2g and 3g is required for voice calls and data as 4g is data only. They confirmed it in the 4g q&a session.
