Hi @230862 If you  want to avoid any large bills then turn off mobile data /data roaming completely.

Use only Wifi where you can. This way you can use Whatsapp, Messenger, Skype etc for keeping in touch with family and friends

I you are staying within the EU then leave your mobile data on, you can use your phone as you would in the UK with no additional charges...

If outside of the EU, then @cleoriffs advise is soundish, as you can pay upto £5 a day in select countries to use services without running up a massive data bill...

Yeah but data would be throttled & next to useless so just use WiFi

There is no data throttling currently in any EU countries.
We need to know where @230862 is to advise accurately.

The link I included covers travel inside and outside of Europe @madasaf1sh.  The only thing it doesn't cover is O2 Travel

Inclusive. That's a completely different set up and designed to confuse... As the op didn't specify what country they were travelling to...I went for the safe option

Hi @230862! Please do take a look at the info above posted by our members. Do you have any additional questions or are you all good to go? Which country are you going to visit? slight_smile
