Hi everyone @pgn @NicolaWright @MI5 @Cleoriff 

 

Just so you are aware we are carrying out an operator test of the government's Emergency Alerts service today. So if you received one of these alerts you do not have to worry, there's no need to take any action.


And if you'd like to find out more information about this service, search for gov.uk/alerts

This wont affect everyone.  Its for a select few smartphone users.  Some handsets will give off an alarm sound.  This is a test run for a software that has been introduced to warn people of terror attacks.  

I work for O2 but my comments and opinions posted here are solely my own and do not reflect those of Telefonica.
