December bill higher than expected

Anonymous
Not applicable
Good morning team,

I upgraded my tariff to £36.5 a month on 29th November, however my Dec bill shows £39.05 + a vat of £7.31
Can you clarify the difference and resolve this please?
Many thanks

Hi @Anonymous Welcome to the forum. Just to add to the advice given above. The reason your first bill is higher is probably because it covers the remaining few days of your old contract as well as your new one. You will find it settles down after this and you will pay the amount stated...

Morning @Anonymous

this is a community for customers of O2 and people help with advice.

It may be worth logging on to My O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2 where you can see your Bill. If that does not help there is a Live Chat link at the bottom left of the page where Customer Services will be able to clarify the reason.

Hope this helps

Your first bill is always higher due to being charged for a few extra days pro rota to bring your bills in line with your regular billing cycle.

@Anonymous  If you do need customer service for any account related issues, it's always better to call rather than use Live Chat, as there is a history of chat being unreliable.
