Use wifi when you can.

Turn off mobile data in your phone settings when on wifi

Turn off 4G if you use it.

Don't stream or update apps on mobile data.

Set your email to fetch and not push.

Use Onavo extend perhaps.

Lots of hypothetical chat about iphone and data high usage.

Seems this can be hit and miss. I've used the iPhone 4 onwards with no such issue - however until we know what phone is being used this is if no connection- yet 😄

As I said "IF" as we don't know yet but no harm in directing the OP to a potential issue reported by many across the World as a quick Google search will confirm.

You would expect this from a low-end consumer product not a high-end smart telephone? Don't they even test these things?

Indubitably true. Samsung S21 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 Ultra

I'm sure all manufacturers do.

I believe that when a person also upgrades to 4G they spend longer online as more can be done faster and with screen quality continuously increasing end users also typically stream a lot more. Same concept with 3G but not as fast.

Lets hope the OP gets back to us and the info shared this far helps.  😄
