Please can you explain the entries for data usage on my bill. There are a lot of entries - nearly every night - timed at 00:00:00. I am not normally using my phone at midnight and these data entries make up most of my monthly allowance on the June bill?

The system is designed to calculate your used data daily up to midnight. It doesnt mean you were using it at that time.

This is just the system using midnight as a cut off point. Remember that most smartphones use data for push notifications so they are always using data regardless if your not physically using your phone.

Thanks, but I am still a bit puzzled as the majority of the time I use my phone at home and have it logged into my home wi-fi. Can you think of any other reason for the data usage?

If your using an android phone the apps automatically use mobile data for background usage. You will see this in the data usage setting.

To stop this you need to go into the apps settings and tap on each app and switch it off.
