Data sim to receive calls

I have a data sim card in a tablet mounted in my car. Im able to text from the tablet and receive texts however, i cant receive phone calls. I have tried my phone sim in the tablet and was able to call the tablet so i know its the fact that its a data sim that is the issue. Is there a way to switch a data sim card to be able to receive calls without upgrading?

A data sim cannot receive calls or make calls

If you upgrade then your number is switched to your data sim and your phone will then not work

The only way would be to have a completely different number on a standard sim
