I am going to Spain for 5 days and I will be bound to buy a local sim card just because O2 have got no package for data bundle abroad!!! even 50 mb a day would have been decent but 15 mb for £1.99 isn't just not enough, it's a robbery too

It's sometimes better as you say to use a Local sim whilst your there.

Ensure your phone is unlocked.

If its not then here's the form. https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form

Free to o2 pay monthly customers or £15 to Payg.

Or use local wifi when and where possible.

Have a nice time.

I was just in Amsterdam with my S4 and the 15MB's went very very quickly.

I found it much easier to buy a simcard (Voda) and it gave me 100MB a day for 1 Euro a day.

Total cost plus the sim was 7.50 Euros.

4G was only available to PM customers but the H+ was excellent and WIFI seemed to be available everywhere.

Depending on what your doing the data allownace can be eaten away rather quickly.

Using WiFi when and where possible slows this down,
