Due to power disruption caused by adverse weather conditions, we’re still experiencing an issue with parts of our service in the North West of the UK. This means some of our customers may have difficulty in making and receiving calls and texts or using data on their devices. We’re working with our suppliers to restore full service as quickly as we can.

I believe they did open a can of worms when O2 offered people £10 as a goodwill gesture for the downtime some experienced not too long ago.
People latch onto that and expect the same. {rightly or wrongly}
Although the outage was for a prolonged period of time.
I used mine in the O2 Store.
