Hiya can i just ask how they did a credit check as im not sure whether mine was dodgy or not?

Yes you get credit checked and yes they need your card details to set up a direct debit to pay your bills.

@Anonymous We don't know what criteria O2 use for credit checks. They will just offer you a contract  or refuse it.

You could be checking your score via sites such as Experian or Clearscore...

Sorry i dont think i explained myself i meant what did they ask for in order to do a credit check as i got asked for my card details including my security code has this happened to anyone else ?

Did you ring O2 to place the order?

If you were speaking to O2 and placing an order, this is routine. The same procedure was carried out for me when I started my contract.

I think they use your credit/debit card as verification of indentity.
