Virgin Mobile and Giff Gaff offer calls to 084,087 and 0500 numbers as inclusive,in fact Virgin Mobile offers a seperate allowance with the same amount of minutes as your standard minutes to call 084 and 087 numbers. Even paying £2.50 extra for 300 minutes is unreasonable but better than what O2 is doing now.
What's worse is that the changes Ofcom made in July 2015 with the Access Charge and pence per minute format has made it even more difficult for consumers to understand the costs of calling 084 and 087 numbers. Consumers are now paying a lot more than they did.
Just what are 0845 and 0870 numbers for anyway? There is no more revenue share, so why are companies continuing to use them, most companies migrated to 0843,0844 and 0871 to continue receiving revenue share.
It's disappointing that O2 who have the most expensive price plans seem to think its competitive not to offer 08 numbers as inclusive.
