Hi,

My 24 month contract comes to an end on the 17/11/2023. I can up-grade as of now, with a small cost, but I want to know can I purchase a Sim-Only deal that I have seen which isn,t on the O2 site. I did read on here that you can up-grade on the Uswitch site, which has the same deal.( No sign of Up-grade link though)

Or do I wait until closer to the 17th and ring them to haggle for a new contract?

If you go through U Switch then it will take you to O2. When asked choose upgrade.

If that doesn't work take the deal out as a new contract then migrate your old number across 

Guide: Migration & porting into O2  

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Use USwitch

Choose the deal you want

This will automatically redirect you to the O2 website

Just follow the prompts and choose the UPGRADE option

Complete the deal and nothing on your account changes except the tariff at the new cheaper cost

Payment date is the same and your next bill will be at the cheaper rate and will be made up of the pro rata cost of your old tariff and your new tariff

The change should show in My O2 within 24 hours

Volt benefits will still apply as will possibly a 3 month extra such as Disney+

Hi Jonsie,

Thanks for the info but There is no option anywhere to UPGRADE.

Sorry I,ve found it..Had to go through all the way to Check-Out. It does say I have to pay the remainder from my existing contract but if it,s this easy, I,ll wait nearer the time when my contract runs out.

It also says that my Time to Upgrade has expired !!!
