Contacting o2 and split payments.

Folks

I recently renewed my phone and took out additional insurance, why is there a split payment method?

I work abroad in areas of limited internet connection and often have problems paying one not to mention two bills.

No I do not want to set up a DD as I have had problems before with o2 continuing to take monies out during a dispute.

Pls arrange my bill in total as one payment or cancel the device portion of the contract.

@Anonymous This is a customer to customer forum. O2 does not monitor this site. You will need to speak to customer service. You have taken a Refresh contract, which is split into payment for your device, and payment for airtime. That's the way O2 does it these days. You would be advised to set up a direct debit, as O2 have had continuing problems with online payments of late, and you could wind up having even more problems trying to pay online. If you aren't happy about the way the contract is set up and you are within the 14 day cooling off period you can cancel the contract.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Yes, as stated, this is the way it works with O2 now.
You agreed to these T&C's when you took the contract I'm afraid, so you can't now make your own rules.
The only way to remove one of the bills is to pay off the device plan completely so it just leaves you with the airtime portion to pay on a monthly basis.

The handset has to be seperate from the airtime because it's a hire purchase agreement that you signed. You cancelled the direct debit so payment is now your responsibility.

Instructing O2 to "Cancel the device portion of the contract"? That won't be done until you pay it off in full @Anonymous

He obviously thinks he's talking to CS & wants them to do everything he wants when it is now become his responsibility, people like that should not have contracts
