I would like to close one of my number on my account and buy the number to go to a different provider

Just ask for your PAC and give it to your new provider. They will do everything for you and using the PAC will produce a final bill from O2. You also need to get the phone unlocked unless you are wanting a phone from your new provider.

Also @Anonymous there is no need to buy the number. Taking it to another network is totally free.
