Changing Number

I have just moved to O2 from another provider. When I placed order with O2 I provided my PAC so that I could retain my old number.

The new O2 SIM arrived today with a new O2 number.

I assumed that the necessary administration would have been completed so that my current number would have automatically moved over to the O2 Sim as soon as I activitated it.

Is this not the case or is there usually a delay? If so, does anyone know how quickly the transfer to the old number should happen after I have activated my O2 SIM? I am not sure if I should be 're-requesting' the transfer of numbers.

I have been trying to speak with someone in O2 but don't seem to able find anyway to get speaking with anyone - either on live chat or by phone.

Any advice appreciated.

Hardly ever done without chasing it up.

If the form is working (it wasn't) send it in from here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/device-and-sim-support/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number

Otherwise, you'll need to call customer service.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
