I've been fumbling around the rabbit warren of a site trying to work out if my phone is blocked.
I have made a large amount of calls in the past two days, as there has been a serious family issue, and now cannot make outbound calls.
I have unlimited call plan, but cannot guarantee that calls have not gone over an hour, but still?
I can receive calls, send and receive sms but cannot make outbound calls. Any ideas? Cannot get through to a human at this time of night, really need my phone working asap.

It sounds as though you may have a partial block on the phone. The only way to find out and get reconnected is to contact customer service I'm afraid. As you are aware that would have to be in the morning.
I presume you have tried all the usual fault finding such as cleaning the sim and rebooting the phone and checking your postcode @ the O2 Service Status
Do you have another phone you can try your sim card in?
