Cannot make calls with new iPhone 7

I cannot make any calls on my new iPhone 7. Nor can I receive any calls (they go straight to the voicemail).

I have turned off the phone and re-started it again. I have turned Airplane Mode on and off again. Neither of these steps have helped.

I can access the Internet though.

Tech support is closed at the moment due to the coronavirus crisis. Can anyone assist me, please?

@CaryB Are you using your old sim or the new sim that came with your new phone? Try your old sim and see if that works.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

If you need to call

Everything is taking longer due to the lockdown. Call centres and social distancing means limited staff to handle all the queries. Patience needed I'm afraid.

@CaryB

Where did your new iPhone 7 come from?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thank you for your reply. I am using my new sim.

I eventually managed to get through to O2 tech support and they are activating the new sim card as I write this. Hopefully, that will solve this issue.
