Cancelling a contract a few questions?

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi, I need to cancel my contract which is up for renewal in June, I have been given the price today however would like to know when the best time is to cancel as I have been billed today (28th) is it best to cancel on the 28 th, so I do not have to pay any months after. Also after I've paid the final amount can I cancel my direct debit as before a family member did this and 02 blacklisted them on there credit rating do not want this to happen to me . The. 02 online chat are awful and don't have a clue what I'm going on about!

Thanks becky

As you are buying out you won't be using the services anyway so you may as well PAC your number over to your new network, or take your new contract immediately.
Once the final bill is paid you can cancel the DD but make sure you check with CS that the account is closed before you do.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
