Hi,
I'm at the end of my contract, and mainly because of the lousy customer service and mid contract price rises (that's not even a contract if they can rise prices, it's robbery) - I'd like to cancel after the contract is ended (and go to another provider).
I've been in contact with the customer service via chat in the My O2 app, to give the 30 days notice, but they keep providing me a link which just takes me to the O2 shop: http://bit.ly/3KaFZE6 -> https://www.o2.co.uk/shop - it's the 3rd day I'm chatting with them, and they just keep providing the same link, disregarding that I tried it in 3 different browsers, mobile, desktop - still doesn't work. Does this link work for anyone? Can someone provide a link to chat with the cancellations team?
Thanks!

@antivirtel If you leave now you will have to pay off the remainder of your contract. There is no grace period. You have less than a month, so unless there's some deal you may miss if you don't leave now you may as well wait.
Edit: Bear in mind there are always some residual charges at the end of a contract, so make sure whenever you do move to leave your Direct Debit in place until you receive a zero bill. Many people get caught out for not doing that, and wind up with credit rating problems down the road.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, but it doesn't answer my questions:
Does this link work for anyone? Can someone provide a link to chat with the cancellations team?
Thanks

There is no cancellation team chat link.
You cancel through customer services if the methods in the guide don't fit your needs.
You need to contact O2.
Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202

@antivirtel You don't need to give 30 days notice. Just follow the link provided above by @Enlli, get your PAC and move. Using Live Chat is a roll of the dice anyway. They're generally pretty useless. There is no 'cancellations team'.
By the way, the mid-contract price increase was the annual RPI. All the networks increased their prices at that time. No one was robbing you of anything.
You can also reach O2 via social media:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Thanks for the replies. The contract ends on 12th Sept, is there a grace period, so I can leave now, or do I need to wait until then? Thanks

Text INFO to 85075 to find out what charges, if any, would apply to leaving early @antivirtel
Most likely it would just be clearing the last month's airtime charge.
Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).

Great, thank you very much for the replies. I got answers here within an hour, while with customer service no answers after 3 days.
