Can I not use my bundle minutes to check my voicemail?

Anonymous

I recently switched to O2, I transfered my number and everything. I'm trying to check my voicemail or set it up or something, so I call the number and it forwards me to the top up service.

I already topped up £10 the other day and used it to buy a bundle for minutes and texts, so why is it asking me to top up when I have plenty of minutes left? Is this a scam on O2's part because it sure sounds like it. How can I not use my minutes calling a number? I thought that's what minutes were for, to use to call numbers.

Ye as far as im aware you need actual credit to call voicemail rather than an allowance of minutes.

Hope this helps
