Sometimes it can take up to 24 hours to update the systems with received payment.

Sorry, Lauren but that doesn't ease my worries.  I've paid by direct debit for about four years but never had a message like this before.  Being threatened by late charges at the moment really doesn't help.

Log into your My O2 account and check if it's outstanding on there. Like @Bambino said, the text message could possibly be a scam.

Hello ive just received the save message and I've paid my bill 2 days ago with the prove that money had been taken out and my o2 app says I'm not due to pay till april... I cant get through to anyone on the phone eaither??
