Hey, my Gran is living with dementia. She keeps getting companies like Carphone Warehouse and Phone Spot calling her and signing her up to new o2 contracts which is a pain to keep cancelling. She's currently on o2 now.
Does anyone know if o2 have anything available that could help? Like all calls routed to me first to shield them and only letting through calls, I approve?
I think something like this would be really useful to help vulnerable people and shield them from these nuisance calls.
We don't want to completely cut her off and take her phone away from her, but at the moment I think it's the only option to stop unscrupulous companies calling a vulnerable old lady and signing her up for services that she doesn't need and that she doesn't understand she does want.
Thanks.

All you can do is change her contact preferences to none in her MyO2.
It won't stop them immediately but it will filter through over a month or so.
Of course it won't stop those who already have her number so a number change might be the only option.

Thank you for your reply.
Someone else mentioned that there's a setting called 'blocking mode' which I should be able to set to 'always' but allow contacts only.
I will try this. In the meantime, I guess I need to figure out how to get the phone back to o2/Phone Spot/Dixons or wherever it came from and cancel this contract all while under isolation.
WATTBA.
