Here's a story about a catch 22 situation.

O2 user loses phone, orders a replacement SIM card. Then has to activate the card.

BUT, it can't be done online. Because it can only be done via the MyO2 app. In order to login you need a confirmation code which is texted to your number. I cannot receive the text because my SIM is not activated!!!

So I have to call 202 and wait however long to get through to an advisor. Then go through lengthy security checks and procedures blah blah blah.

WHY???

This should be an easy process. But instead it is ridiculous.

In the meantime, I cannot get any verification codes for any of my other accounts that I need to access.

So I will be taking my custom elsewhere in the future.

My contact number in MyO2 is different from my O2 numbers. I get to choose between those numbers when a code is required. I usually choose my Vodafone number

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Would you prefer it to be really easy for someone to clone your sim, access all your accounts and empty your bank balance?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
