Hi
I took out o2 refresh 3 weeks ago but I don't like the phone and it's too late to send back under the 14 days.
My first bill has come out by direct debit, can I pay off the cost of the device (£345) and then upgrade to iphone 6, but on a more expensive plan (currently paying £13.50 for airtime, but want to increase to £17.50) so £47.50 a month in total, instead of £28.50 i'm paying at the moment
Also will there be a 2nd credit check as i've paid off the lumia and taking out an iphone
Thanks

There's no reason why you can't do that, once the phone is paid off you should be able to upgrade to a new phone and contract.
I'm fairly sure there is no credit check for an existing customer.

You will be fine, there won't be another credit check.

I may be wrong, but I believe there will be another credit check due to the fact that refresh handsets are on a separate credit agreement to the airtime.
CS on 202 should be able to confirm or deny it for you though.
I would have thought once you pay for the phone, you're still on a Pay Monthly contract for the airtime and would simply upgrade in the normal way to a new Refresh contract.

Yes, but you will be taking another new phone on credit?
I'm sure that would only be a formality as you would have just paid for one in full.

Spoke to Customer services who advised there is no credit check if paying off one device and taking another
