Suddenly had texts saying 4G is being switched off and now on 3G. I have no idea why and signal is appalling and phone unusable for FB etc.  Anyone else had this??  My agreed tariff is for 4G and recently had text saying I was having 5G and they would adjust my tariff.....no discussion!!

As it's just after the weekend they have probably just started working on the mast.it could take a bit longer.. You will just have to keep rebooting the phone.

This happens when a system is rebooted and is only temporary.

Just reboot your phone and it will be back to normal.

Best of Luck.

That means they are upgrading the mast serving you

Keep rebooting your phone until service is resumed

I suspect it is temporary, probably work on the network. Check

https://status.o2.co.uk/

You may like to install 'My Network' App. Where you can register to be informed of updates, and report problems.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
