Hi
I transferred from 1p mobile to o2 classic (3-2-1) on Tuesday. It is working except I can't send texts. I can receive texts and make and receive calls. I have checked many things online, reset my network connection, reset mobile network (switching networks), checked the SMS number is correct.
I tried my sons O2 sim in my phone and it can send texts so it's not my phone, also my SIM didn't send texts in his phone, though instead of saying failed like my phone it just has a tiny picture of a clock like symbol.
I have rang up o2 customer support, she said she has reset my mobile network settings and to reboot the phone but I have rebooted it lots of times and it's still not working.
Thanks

Persist with O2 CS, @Pixelstyle - porting into O2 has been taking longer than normal, upwards of a week in some cases, and porting in from any network stops over the weekend, weirdly, in any case.
You can try O2 via Social Media, look at the link just below this post for how. Good luck!
Note also you are not on O2 Classic, it is a legacy O2 product, https://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-as-you-go/classic-pay-as-you-go
You are more likely on a Big bundle - have you topped up?

Hi
I will have a look at o2 social media, thanks. Is there not anyone from o2 on here though?
I bought a sim for 20p off eBay, not the same seller but lots sell them, it said it had to be activated by Dec 2023. I have £10 on the sim, I also made a o2 account after my number got ported.

No O2 staff on here, no, and O2 Advisors work singly Mon to Sat when asked to assist, @Pixelstyle.
Otherwise, the Community Guides and How-Tos here, as shared above, or O2 via Social Media or 4445 are your support avenues.

Hi there,
On 6th June I ported my nr from another provider to O2. Initially nothing worked, then I was able to make calls and receive calls and SMS, but I couldn't send SMS. I've contacted O2 support several times, always the same result, absolute incompetence, nothing sorted. Currently I'm abroad, I can't make nor receive callas, still can't send SMS, and on the top of it I can't login to my O2 app on the phone. Somehow it works when using a browser on the computer, but not on the phone.
I've called again this morning from my girlfriend's phone, spent an hour and a half on the phone with 2 different extremely unhelpful people and still nothing. The second one, instead of trying to solve my problem, tried to sell me another package as if he didn't understand that I need help with the current one. What a one massive disaster!
When I try to call my own nr from another phone, I hear that my nr doesn't exist. As mentioned before I think I've called O2 support at least 15 times and... NOTHING!
When talking with the last person I requested to speak to his superior as he was clearly unable to help with anything. He said I will receive a call back. Obviously I had to highlight again that I can't receive any calls (didn't I say that I'm calling from my girlfriend's phone because I can't receive any calls?!!!), so he reluctantly took the other nr. He said I will be contacted within an hour. Obviously nothing happened, nobody called and my phone is dead.
What a massive DISASTER!!!
Is there anybody here from O2 with a minimum of decency, who can help to solve this nightmare???
Thanks!

Let's see if the community advisors can untangle this mess @RafNSD
Can you get in touch to try and fix this @O2nath_ci or @O2Emma ?

Thank you! I really would appreciate any help, as it seems nobody from O2 so far is even willing to look into this. So frustrating...
