I cannot receive or make calls since I changed my 02 plan to pay as you go. It's top up but all the calls I receive go straight to voicemail (that I cannot check) and all calls I make simply do not work. Does anyone know what it could be?

Did you have a new sim card? PAYG are different to Contract, so that's the first thing to look at. Other than that we’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you call O2 on 4445 or 0344 809 0222 or use O2's social media to help by messaging them on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.
